Montmartre is rich in history. Toulouse-Lautrec, in particular, immortalized Montmartre through his paintings of life in disreputable nightspots like the Bal du Moulin Rouge. The Rue des Martyrs is 'Parisians' Paris'. Alive with a wonderful selection of specialty shops selling all the good things that make your stay in a Paris apartment a real French experience! Within a short walk are the Gustave Moreau Museum, the 'Vie Romantique' Museum, Montmartre and Sacré Coeur, Palais Garnier opera. From St Georges metro (entrance is a gem!) direct to Musée d'Orsay, Montparnasse and the Latin Quarter. The flower shop opposite carpets the sidewalk with colorful blooms all year round. A few minutes away is a lively outdoor market open six days a week (rue Lepic), and a similar array of fine shops as well as many excellent small restaurants in the immediate area. Description: This south-facing apartment is at the back of the building and gets lots of sun. Windows have a view of an inner courtyard instead of other apartments, creating a feeling of privacy. The kitchen has brand new tiling and countertops and is fully equipped with a gas range, oven, combination washer/dryer, and refrigerator. The dining room has a long French window, a natural wood table and chairs, along with a twin daybed. The living room also with a long French window, has a black marble fireplace, built-in bookcase, sleeper sofa, wicker chairs and television.
